Voluntary Flight Changes and No-Show Policy To keep the value of your original ticket, you must cancel or make changes to your flight prior to departure. If you change flights, you may have to pay a change fee and/or a difference in fare. You may change or cancel a Basic ticket in most cases, but a fee will be deducted from the value of your ticket. The remaining value will be issued back to you as an eCredit . Exceptions to the No-Show Policy may apply as required by applicable law. How the Change Fee Works Visit My Trips on delta.com or the Fly Delta app to review and select a new flight. Pay the change fee based on the class of service and your flight’s origin and destination. Pay any applicable fare difference between your original ticket and your new flight. After completing these steps, you’ll receive your new flight confirmation via email. Same-Day Confirmed If you’ve purchased a Classic ticket, you can switch to a confirmed seat on a new flight based on availability in your originally purchased fare class for $75 USD. Same-Day Confirmed is complimentary for Extra and refundable experiences and for Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion Members with Classic experiences. Same-day Confirmed is available on select domestic itineraries. Same-Day Confirmed is not available for Delta Basic Experiences. Same-Day Standby At the time of your change request, you may be able to select this option to stand by for a seat on an earlier flight for free. You won’t lose your seat on your original flight until your standby seat clears. Same-Day Standby is not available for Delta Basic Experiences. Award Ticket Changes and Mileage Redeposits Change and cancel is free for Award tickets where the Classic Travel Experience was selected and mileage upgrades for travel within the U.S. (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands), as well as international travel originating from the U.S. and Canada. Changes can be made any time prior to departure. A redeposit fee of $150 applies for Award tickets and mileage upgrades for travel originating outside of the U.S. and Canada. If purchasing a Basic Travel experience for Award Tickets, the ticket can be changed or canceled for a fee assessed in miles. Travel Services Unaccompanied Minors The unaccompanied minor program provides an employee escort and amenities for children traveling alone between the ages of 5 to 14; or 15 to 17 with guardian request. For a $150 fee each way, up to 4 children will be supervised by Delta staff as they travel. Focused on safety, the program gives each child a barcoded wristband scanned at each location and children receive access to Delta Sky Zone lounges for unaccompanied minors, where available. Traveling with a child under two years of age? It’s free to hold an infant in your arms or in an FAA-approved travel harness on flights in the U.S. & Canada. For international flights only, it is 10% of the cost of an adult fare. We know the furry members of your family matter too. That’s why Delta allows small dogs, cats and household birds (limited to the U.S.) to travel with you in the cabin on your flight in an approved carrier for a fee.
