He has been part of YPT since 2012. Baltimore marks his fifth chapter as a member and his third serving on the board. He has resided in the city since 2022. He is a highly technical person with a passion for promoting multimodal transportation and sustainable living. He values YPT as a place for local transportation professionals to interact regularly and build relationships. He looks forward to utilizing his YPT experience in reviving the Baltimore Chapter. Sankalp Swami is a dynamic professional at the forefront of traffic engineering, currently serving as a traffic engineer/Transportation Business Analyst at Rossi Group. Holding a Master’s Degree in Transportation Systems Engineering from NC State University, he is further enhancing his capabilities with a second master’s degree in data science. Sankalp’s diverse skill set enables him to address intricate issues at the nexus of transportation and data analytics with ingenuity and accuracy. With extensive experience in ITS and traffic safety, he maintains a fervent enthusiasm for adopting new technologies and continuous learning. Joe Calhoun is the Manager of Data Analytics & Performance Programs in the Maryland Transit Administration’s Office of Performance Management, where he oversees the agency’s performance programs for the six modes of operation and the administrative offices providing business intelligence platforms to frontline managers and leadership. Joe has worked in public transit since 2013 and moved to Baltimore in 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Ursinus College, as well as a Masters in Urban & Regional Planning and a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University. Joe is a 2018 graduate of the American Public Transportation Association’s Emerging Leaders Program. Rashaun Bennett Rashaun Bennett is a Regional and Community Transit Planner for the Maryland Transit Administration, working via Jacobs, a global professional services firm. Within the MTA Office of Planning and Programming, he leads transit planning initiatives and delivers community engagement strategies that move projects from concept to implementation. He also manages the MTA Youth Transit Council, where he advances youth participation and ensures their perspectives are meaningfully integrated into transportation decision-making. Outside of work, you’ll likely find him biking or running along the Gwynns Falls Trail, catching a show at a local theatre, or hopping on an Amtrak or MARC train to Philly or D.C. Harsheeta Gupta Harsheeta Gupta is a transportation planner dedicated to improving mobility, accessibility, and the overall rider experience. As a Senior Consultant at WSP, Harsheeta is currently embedded with the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), where she serves as a Transit Program Manager. She has over seven years of experience leading projects focused on customer experience, real-time information, and sustainable transit initiatives. Her work blends technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to deliver practical, rider-focused solutions. She brings a thoughtful, data-driven approach to advancing public transit systems and fostering equitable urban environments. Harsheeta holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from CEPT University in India and a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Kenneth Good is Deputy Chief of Staff at the Maryland Transit Administration, where he oversees the agency’s Office of Government Affairs and serves as a voting member of MTA’s Joint Safety Committee. He is a 2023 graduate of the American Pubic Transportation Association’s Emerging Leaders Program. He lives near Baltimore Penn Station. William Fedder is the Director of Membership for Young Professionals in Transportation. He is a Data Scientist at the Maryland Transit Administration’s Office of Performance Management, where he supports transit operations through performance analysis, reporting, and data engineering. He previously worked as a Transit Data Analyst at OPM, focusing on bus and mobility operations. He studied Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Through YPT, William is focused on growing the organization’s membership, welcoming new professionals, and building stronger connections across the transportation field, whether they be working in government, the private sector, or the non-profit world. As Director of Collegiate Affairs for the Young Professionals in Transportation Board, Lulu Jiang is dedicated to advancing professional growth, fostering meaningful engagement, and building inclusive networks within the transportation community. She is passionate about supporting emerging leaders and bridging the gap between research, policy, and real-world implementation. Lulu holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration, which underpins her expertise in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. Her approach integrates strong operational management with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. Join the YPT Baltimore Leadership Team!
