Chat Got is a free, account-free, text-based AI chat that runs in your browser. In the August 31 hands-on test, it returned the requested text and supported follow-up context, Copy, Retry, Clear Chat History, Export Conversation, theme controls, and font-size controls. Current limits: file attachment is visible but disabled, and the tested interface did not provide voice, image generation, web browsing, or a native app. Server-side conversation storage is disabled; the active transcript stays in the memory of the open page, subject to the processing and limited operational retention described in the Privacy Policy . Do not enter sensitive or confidential information. Feature availability at a glance Tested text chat and everyday tasks The tested interface accepts text prompts and returns text responses. In our samples, a “Chat Got is thinking…” state appeared first and the completed answer then appeared as a whole; we did not observe word-by-word streaming. You can use it to draft and revise general writing, summarize text you provide, request explanations, brainstorm ideas, translate or rephrase text, organize plans and explore code examples. These are task categories rather than accuracy guarantees. Writing: outlines, emails, clearer wording and tone changes. Learning: explanations, examples, practice questions and study structures. Summaries: key points, checklists and action items from text you supply. Translation: drafts and alternative phrasing that still require human review. Coding: explanations and debugging ideas that must be tested before use. Never submit material you do not have permission to share. Conversation controls and storage Server-side conversation storage is currently disabled. The active transcript is held in the memory of the open chat page so follow-up messages can use relevant context, but Chat Got does not provide permanent or account-linked server history. Clear Chat removes the displayed conversation and resets its active context. Export Conversation downloads a copy of the displayed text to your device; neither control enables server-side storage. Because server-side conversation storage is disabled, Chat Got does not currently keep a first-party server transcript for later retrieval. This does not prevent processing by service providers or their limited operational retention as described in the Privacy Policy . Do not enter passwords, authentication codes, API keys, payment information, government identifiers, confidential workplace material or private health records. Chat Got does not routinely review ordinary prompts or responses; human review occurs only when a specific security report requires investigation. Configured usage limits The settings reviewed on August 12 configure rate limiting at 100 messages and 100,000 tokens per user per day, with up to 50 messages in one conversation and a maximum response setting of 2,000 tokens. These thresholds are operational settings, not a promise of uninterrupted or guaranteed access; safety, capacity and technical restrictions may apply sooner and the limits may change. How prompts are processed Chat Got is an independent service that uses OpenAI API technology to generate replies. The OpenAI organization setting we reviewed had sharing of API inputs and outputs disabled. OpenAI’s official API documentation states that API data is not used to train or improve its models unless the API customer explicitly opts in, and that default abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days unless an exception applies.

The successful public test confirms that a reply was returned; it does not by itself prove the exact upstream model, moderation route or every request parameter. The service is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, emergency or other qualified professional advice. How we tested Chat Got Date: August 12, 2026. Surfaces: the live Chat Got interface at a 1280×720 desktop viewport and a 390×844 mobile viewport. The chat itself did not show an account prompt, but the test browser also had an authenticated WordPress administration session, so this was not a verified logged-out test. Test data: a short, non-sensitive instruction requesting an exact phrase. Checks: message submission, response timing and display, follow-up context, Copy, Retry, session storage across reload, dark theme, settings menu, mobile layout, message-length validation and disabled attachment state. Administrative verification: storage default, rate-limit settings and OpenAI organization sharing status were reviewed without exposing or changing any API key. Not tested: final clear-history confirmation, downloaded export contents, enforcement at daily limits, every browser, accessibility with assistive technology, high-volume reliability or the exact upstream model ID.
