Nobody had reached those right-center field bleachers with a homer before that day, and Mantle did it twice off of Hoeft. But maybe Hoeft didn’t get the credit he deserved, striking Mantle out a whopping 24 times in his career! And maybe it’s just me, but Billy Loes always looks sad, or stunned on his cards. Just a buck opening bid, with one dollar increments after that. Shipping is about $5-$6 (I'll get you a total after I pack them up). and there's my standard 10-minute rule at the close. The auction closes at 8PM MDT (Mountain Time), however a bid between 7:50-8:00 will extend it another ten minutes from the time of that bid, and any subsequent bid. Note on shipping: The USPS is frustrating in that you have to ship as a Ground Advantage Package to get tracking, and to be able to protect the cards from the sorting machine, which is why it's so high. Since shipping is sometimes more than the winning bid, and because I get a lot of repeat buyers, I'm happy to hold onto the cards as long as you want, to combine shipping on future wins. You just tell me when you want them, and I'll combine them, mail them, and give you the total. Most guys get 4-6 lots for the same $6 as one would cost.
