The Eclipse Foundation Member Portal gives your organisation visibility into its participation across the ecosystem. No, but many members choose to participate in working groups to collaborate more closely on specific technologies and industry initiatives. Eclipse Foundation AISBL is the Foundation’s European-based legal entity. Most new members join through AISBL, which offers the same benefits as the original U.S.-based organisation. Eclipse Foundation Industry Collaborations are part of the Foundation’s broader ecosystem and operate within its membership and governance framework. Organisations must first become Eclipse Foundation members before joining a Working Group or an Interest Group. This ensures that every participant benefits from the same legal, intellectual property, governance, and community framework, creating a trusted, vendor-neutral environment for collaboration.
