On Copilot+ PCs , the search experience is enhanced with AI-powered suggestions that help surface the most relevant settings based on your intent. On these devices, you can search by describing a problem, like " my mouse pointer is too small " or " how to control my PC using voice ". Browse by category : Use the navigation panel to select a category. Each category opens a dedicated page with grouped settings or cards that provide controls and information for specific Windows features. Some pages also include links to subpages for more detailed options. The combination of search and settings categories ensures you can quickly locate and adjust the settings that matter most to you. AI-empowered search In Settings, you can use natural language to find what you need, whether you're looking for a specific setting or trying to solve a problem. This is made possible through two AI-powered experiences that bring a new level of convenience to your device: improved search and agent in Settings . Improved search Improved search enhances the search experience in Settings by understanding the meaning behind your words, instead of just matching keywords. You can describe what you want to do in your own words, such as: " Change my theme " " View storage usage " Agent in Settings A new on-device AI agent takes search experience a step further. In addition to understanding your intent, the agent can suggest fix for common issues. With your permission and at your initiation, it can even complete the actions to change your settings on your behalf. The agent uses a lightweight language model called Settings Mu , which is fine-tuned using Settings data to help you quickly find and adjust system settings. The model runs locally on your device, analyzing your query to match it with relevant settings already available in the Settings app. If the model cannot confidently classify your query to a specific setting, you’ll see the standard search results instead. The agent only suggests settings; it doesn't make any changes automatically. You must select the Apply button to enable or disable a setting. If needed, you can easily undo the change. The Settings Mu model has undergone fairness evaluations, as well as comprehensive Responsible AI, security, and privacy assessments.
