Step 1: Download the Controllable mod.
First, download the Controllable mod, which enables controller support for Minecraft Java.

In this guide I’m going to install the mod for Fabric version 1.21.4. But you should select the version that matches your game and your mod loader. (1.21.11, 1.21+, etc.)

Let’s find all the files before we proceed. Open the folder with the downloads.
Click on the “ Recent Download History ” icon within your browser.
Click the “ Show in Folder ” icon as show in the picture below, or use your file explorer to locate your Download folder.
Now we should have the necessary files downloaded.
Leave the Downloads folder opened.
Now let’s proceed with the installation.
Step 2: Install the Controllable mod.
In order to install the mod, we need a mod loader already installed. In this article we are using Fabric, if you don’t have a mod loader installed ➡️ Click here for a Fabric installation guide .
Open the Minecraft Launcher.
Go to your “ Fabric ” installation and click the folder icon to locate the “mods” folder.
Locate the folder “ mods ” and open it . If it doesn’t exist, create a new folder named “ mods “.
Now drag and drop the files we had downloaded earlier the “ mods ” folder. Or copy and paste them.
After all the files are in the “mods” folder, you can close all the tabs and go back to your Minecraft launcher.
