I have proof of purchase of Ms Office Home & Bus. Purchase Feb 2016 but I cannot find the product key that came with the purchase.
In July 2018 I had problems with Outlook (font size went micro-small after a windows update) I liaised with microsoft, was asked what ver. & build of outlook I was using ....somehow in that period ms office changed to microsoft office professional plus 2016.
I never physically re-installed ms office since the original purchase back in Feb 2016.
Recently I had to re-install my pc due to problems with a windows update. N
ow I'm being asked fro the ms office prof. plus 2016 activation key.
Please assist with a replacement or activation key.

Anonymous 2018-11-13T17:58:31+00:00 Hi DaveM121 Thank you for responding. Before I go ahead and follow your suggested steps, please can I just check that the Install … refer " Then, click Install to install Office " will be via my account login, as I cannot find my installation disc. I'm worried that I go through the steps you've suggested and land up with no MS Office at all. What I also cannot fathom is why this Activation message, where the Error Code: 0x4004F00C is displayed at the bottom of the message, refers to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 - which is not what I purchased. But somehow it seems to have "rolled over" to this version. And it's telling me …. This copy of Microsoft office is designed for corporate or institutional customers. Connect your computer to your corporate network to complete activation ….. ….. ? I am a standalone business with 1 PC. I have zero idea how this has happened. I've logged into my Microsoft account and it states that I have 1 Device - no other details. I also tried the option to Activate via logging into my microsoft account & got the following response. The account you signed into isn't associated with this Office product. To activate this install, please sign in with the account associated with your product.- If you purchased Office for yourself, use the same account … ( I didn't use an account, I bought MS Office Home & Business 2016 back in February 2016 and it was installed on my PC by my then IT support Person. I have proof of payment for the software. ) etc Bottom line - once I've removed all remnants of previous Office Installation, re-started my PC, deactivated my previous installation …… will I be able to re-install Office Home & Business via logging into my Microsoft account, if: I don't have any installation disc I don't have the product key Many thanks Kind regards Kevin 0 comments No comments
