SWAGE FOR PLUMBING SPIN SWAGING TOOLS The high-temperature, leakage-free swaging method, designed for plumbing pipes. The Swaging SPIN Tools for Plumbing are designed for the most common tubing diameters in Plumbing, and it's recommended to L, K and M pipe types. The high-temperature method preserves the copper’s malleability while performing the swage, preventing cracks and leaks. To top that, you can swages with the Swage SPIN Tools in just a few seconds! To perform the swage on copper tubing, simply attach the corresponding SPIN Tool size to a drill*. Because they perform their job using high-temperature and friction, no clamping tools or holders are necessary. Perhaps a bit of pre heating of the pipe will make the swage process even easier in the case of thicker walls, such as 7/8" diameters and up, speeding up the process. 1/2" - 3/4" - 1" PLUMBING SET: 3 heavy-duty pieces specially designed for plumbing applications. The pieces are reinforced to allow easy and perfect swages even in 1" copper pipes. Effortless swages ready in less than a minute. The Swage SPIN Tools are designed for copper tubing sizes of ¼ ”, ⅜” and ½” with wall thickness up to 0.8mm; & 1.0mm for a tubing diameter of ⅝” and above. Using the Swage Spin Tools on ANY other diameter than the recommended might cause undesirable deformation and assembling issues. Check User’s Manual for more details. All SPIN Tools are designed to work with drills and/or screwdrivers, with a minimum of 1,800 RPM and 500 watts, for corded drills, or superior and 1,800RPM and 18V, or superior, for cordless drills. Using the SPIN Tools with a less powerful equipment tool than suggested, may result decreased and low-quality performances. Pre heating may be required in the cases when the drill/screwdriver is underpowered to perform the swage in hard copper. HOW TO The 10-Seconds Swage: An Illustrated Guide Featuring How Effortless It Is To Use The SPIN Tools for Plumbing. Check for further information in the complete User's Manual or watch live How To Videos. HEATEN IF NECESSARY Pre heating the tip of the tube will speed up the making of the swage in hard copper. Blowtorching for about 10-20 seconds for thicker walls from 7/8" pipes and above will suffice. FASTEN the Swaging SPIN Tool into the drill’s chuck. FIRMLY hold the tube at all times. Use your other hand if needed. Important: Use rotary mode only. Hammer/impact mode will damage the tube. Keep the drill at MAXIMUM SPEED, at all times. ALIGN the tube and drill. INSERT the Swaging SPIN. Maintain a CONSTANT PRESSURE through the process until the tool stopper has met with the tube. Keep the tube and drill ALIGNED. Keep the drill at MAXIMUM SPEED. PULL OUT the Swaging SPIN from the tube. REMEMBER: this swaging process is an “in-and-out” sequel that should take no more than 10 seconds. Immediately after, the tube’s temperature is very high. Don’t touch the swage until the tube has cooled off. Assemble the fitting as usual. The depth of the swage assures a tight and firm coupling, counteracting long term stress fatigue of the material.
