How are you handling this increase on your lower price items ? There is no profit after ebay fees and shipping costs. Any advice would be appreciated. Today, I took a package to my local Dollar General store to drop off a FedEx. They are a FedEx drop point. I have had no issues dropping packages there. I knew they had a 48 inch limit - understandable. Today - the new policy is " if it fits on that shelf..." - and the cashier points to shelf at the other end of the counter. Ok...not sure what that metric is. Can they do that? I would assume this a matter of contractual obligation between FedEx and Dollar General, and Dollar General can not arbitrarily change the agreement. The intent was for the flat rate to be media mail. A customer ordered 2 books and upgraded the shipping to priority mail. I have paused the discount because I see no means to lock in media mail for the discount. Discussion April 2026 What the heck is UniUni and why is Ebay allowing such a crappy currier service as them? April 2026!!! Has anyone else on here in the USA (or wherever) had problems with a delivery service called UniUni? They actually had the nerve to drop my package off at a store near me instead of my home (my address is clearly visible) and mark it as delivered!!! A customer of that store (who actually saw and overheard my package being lazily dropped off to store employees at the wrong address) was actually kind enough to walk over to my house and tell me where my package was located. This was someone I had never even met.......AI even says UniUni has " overwhelmingly negative customer reviews" and I can't believe Ebay would use or continue to use such a shoddy, bottom of the barrel, and lazy service. This new increase is insane and im not sure how to get around it or if other had found a way. 2/3 orders were smaller items under 4 ounces one about 2 ounces, one under an ounce. Both cost me in excess of 8 dollars to mail. My shipping strategy has always been i charge for small items between 2 & 3 dollars over cost, so if im paying lately about 5 and change i charge between 8.50&9 dollars which people dont like but they live with that helps cover the criminal fees of 13% charged on shipping & sales tax plus the incidental supplies i need to stock. Now with the rate increase i cant charge enough to even cover that stuff not to mention it nukes profit margins on cheaper sales like 15-50 dollar items... not even 10 years ago i could mail, any item under 4 ounces country wide for about $2.75-$3... now some areas they call "rural" -(so far seems to be all of wymoing,idaho,kansas, utah, tennesse & god knows where else) $8.00-$9.00 dollars... Lets not mention, i have some connections within usps, package loses way up, packages damaged way up , missent way up, but package speeds WAY WAY DOWN. USPS destoryed one of my items smashed it to piece literally and thier claim process is near impossible not worth the trouble. It was an open and shut case and they miss handled it on every level from the recieving office to the supervisors, /to the on phone help. Probably 12 hours of work i had in and never saw a penny of the insurance. At this point USPS is getting darn near to be a scam...which i am very sorry to say.... Sorry for the rant but my main question how are you as a seller counteracting the insane 8.00+ ground advantage charges on small cheap items 10-50 dollars ?? How are you able to rationally make it work ? Curious other thoughts, opinion or just feel free to crap on the flaming pile of dog crap USPS service has been in 2026. Now this on top of it all.
