'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson) are on vacation in Barcelona, Spain when they meet painter Juan (Javier Bardem). After a sexy weekend with food and art, things change when his ex lover (Penélope Cruz) pays a visit. Love is explored and challenged from one woman who is already committed, her friend who is more free-flowing, and a violent and difficult relationship filled with passion. 'Love and Basketball' Childhood friends, played by Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps, desire to become professional basketball players. Their different personalities allow each to find their own path to basketball stardom while they find themselves falling in love with each other. As the two players enter adulthood, they realize that the things that stopped them before weren't a factor in what truly mattered — real love. 'Mulholland Drive' Called a twisty neo-noir, Mulholland Drive explores a dreamy Los Angeles where an amnesiac walking loose is discovered by a wholesome woman who moved to California to pursue acting. Two women (Laura Elena Harring and Naomi Watts) work to figure out the woman’s true identity. Seduction, dreams, and mystery guide the audience through this story as the two women search for the truth. This 2007 drama follows the lives of lovers, portrayed by Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, who are forced to separate after a lie smears their union. What looks like one situation isn't always the truth. We witness the two cross paths during World War II, getting a second chance. But is their reunion real? 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' In this sexy suspense thriller, Matt Damon plays Tom Ripley, a young man who wants to live the life of a carefree playboy. He goes through dangerous extremes to live this lifestyle, which is one actually lived by Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) and Marge Sherwood (Gwyneth Paltrow). Who knew becoming someone else could put Tom in a homoerotic life that he will do anything to keep living. 'The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover' When a mobster in London buys a fancy French restaurant, he inevitably scares all of the customers. After finding out his wife started an affair with one of the customers, he begins to plan his revenge in this romantic crime drama. This movie runs the full gamut — sex, food, murder, and revenge. What more could you want? This intense and passionate thriller follows the relationship of two competitive prima ballerinas in their rivalry, which turns into a twisted friendship. Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey, and Winona Ryder star in this tale about a production of Swan Lake by the New York City Ballet company. Heightened pressure cause the ballerinas to fall into a realm outside of reality with sexual fantasies, intense hallucinations, and passion for their craft. All is not what it seems when these characters are driven to the brink of insanity. 'Blue Valentine' A close look at a marriage on the rocks shows Dean (Ryan Gosling) and Cindy (Michelle Williams) in a downward spiral. This film shares how each character's personalities could potentially cause an irreversible impact on their marriage. These hopeless romantics find that love is not enough — they explore what maintaining a healthy relationship truly needs. 'Brokeback Mountain' In the 1960s a rodeo cowboy (Jake Gyllenhaal) and a ranch hand (Heath Ledger) find themselves in a tortured and heartbreaking affair for 20 years. 'From Here to Eternity' From Here to Eternity is tale of a group of Army soldiers who interact with one another in grueling ways, mixed with the tale of an affair of one of the soldiers with a mistreated wife. This historical classic portrays the difficulties of relationships with military families and how love endures hard situations and distance. Starring Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift, Deborah Kerr, and Frank Sinatra, From Here to Eternity is full of true love. This sci-fi movie follows a programmer (Domhnall Gleeson) who wins a vacation to the CEO’s private estate. Once he arrives, the programmer becomes the subject of a test with a beautiful robot (Alicia Vikander), who is more deceptive than initially known. Even in a sci-fi world, a few sexy scenes take the movie up a notch as feelings between the robot and the programmer seem real. Carol risks her marriage and custody of her daughter for her romance with the aspiring photographer. This film proves that the temperature rises when you can't have what you want. 'Sex, Lies, and Videotape' Underlying tensions in a couple’s marriage turn into a series of affairs for the husband and wife. This story follows a man who videotapes women talking about their sexuality. When he meets a woman who is unhappy in her marriage, they begin to get close until the husband discovers the tape.
