Your yearly and seasonal Recaps include personalized playlists and stats that bring together your top songs, artists, podcasts, and more from the past year and season. We’re adding new ways to explore your listening: Recaps generated through AI in YouTube Music, a calendar showing how many days you listened to your top artist, and a musical passport showing you how many different countries your artists are from. Recaps are made just for you, based on your music and podcast listening history across YouTube platforms. Your Recap updates every time a new yearly or seasonal Recap is available. You can always save your previous stats and playlists. To get future Recap playlists and stats, including your end-of-year Recap, all you have to do is keep listening to music and podcasts on YouTube platforms. Find your Recap Open your Recap in YouTube Music Sign in to the YouTube Music app . Select your profile photo Your Recap . Tap Get your Recap on the Recap page. You can also download, or share the stories. If you have photos in Google Photos, and you’ve opted in to the photos feature, they will be featured as a musical photo album on the Recap page. You can download and share each of your photo cards with friends. If personalized photos aren’t featured within your Recap, you might have to opt-in to the photos feature. To opt-in: Open your Recap page in the YouTube Music app. In the Connect to Google Photos banner, select Connect to match your favorite tracks to your pictures. Pull the Recap page to reload and view your personalized photo album. Note: To see your photos within Recap, you must have photos available in Google Photos. Note: To see your photos within Recap, you must have photos available in Google Photos. Note: If you don’t want your photos featured within your Recap, you can opt-out of this feature. To opt-out: On the Recap page, select Manage Photos . From the settings page, select Manage photos in Google Photos . Open your Recap on YouTube If you are eligible for both a YouTube and YouTube music Recap, you can view your Recap through the following steps: Sign in to the YouTube app on your iOS or Android device. Select the YouTab at the bottom of the screen. Navigate to the YouTube Recap banner. View your Top Artists and Top Songs. After your Top Artists and your Top Songs are displayed, tap Get your Music Recap from the last card. You will be redirected to your full standalone Music Recap in the YouTube music app. Alternatively, all Music Recap eligible users can see their standalone Music Recap on YouTube Mobile apps by typing youtube.com/musicrecap in Siri Search on iOS or Android Home Screen Search. Share your Recap You can share your Recap in a few different ways: Share playlist (YouTube & YouTube Music) Make your playlist shareable by tapping Share and selecting Public or Unlisted and then tap Confirm . In the pop-up window, choose the sharing option you prefer. You can also copy the link for later use. Share photos cards (YouTube Music only) To share a photo card, select the Share icon when viewing your Recap page. To download your stats card, select the Download icon. After downloading, you can share the stats card using other social apps of your choice. Share stories (YouTube & YouTube Music) To share your stories card, select the Share icon when viewing your stories. To download your stories cards, select the Download icon. After downloading, you can share the story cards using other social apps of your choice. Eligibility requirements for Recap Make sure you have enough watch history. You’ll need at least 4 hours of music listening time across YouTube platforms per season, and 10 hours of music listening time from January 1st to November 15th for end of year Recap. Only users who are Music Recap eligible can view their end of year podcast Recap cards with at least 2 hours of podcast listening time during the same period. If your watch history is paused for a certain period or the entire duration of the Recap timeframe between January 1st to November 15th, then that watch history is not included in your Recap. View your YouTube watch history settings . Make sure you don’t have auto-delete set up for activity older than 3 months. You can check your auto-delete settings . If you turned off auto-delete recently, it’s possible that you may still not see your Recap.

You can now interact with AI to generate your own personalized Recap in YouTube Music. This new feature uses your YouTube Music history to provide insights on your listening Recap. To generate your Recap with AI: Sign in to the YouTube Music app . Go to the avatar menu in the top right hand corner of the music app. Tap Your Recap . Navigate to the shelf below your stories called “ Ask about your listening .” Tap on a suggested prompt or manually type one in to generate your Recap . Frequently asked questions What data is collected? How is it used? When you interact with this tool, we will collect data around your use of the tool and the queries and feedback you submit. This data helps us to provide, improve, and develop our products and services. Conversations connected with your Google Account will be deleted automatically after 45 days. To help with quality and improve our products, such as the generative machine-learning models that power this tool, human reviewers may read, give notes on, and process your conversations with this tool. We take steps to protect your privacy as part of this process. These steps include disconnecting your conversations from your Google Account before reviewers see them. We also use automated tools to help recognize and remove personal info, like email addresses and phone numbers. Conversations which are disconnected from your Google Account and have been reviewed by human reviewers aren’t deleted automatically after 45 days. These conversations are kept separately for up to 3 years. How do I submit feedback about the tool? If you get a response that’s inaccurate or that you feel is unsafe, you can give feedback on that response to let us know. To submit feedback: Sign in to the YouTube Music app . Navigate to the Share card generated by the tool. Select Something wrong . Choose one of the available issue categories and add details via the comment box. Tap Share feedback .
