If not, the most successful method to install version 25H2 is to use the Windows 11 ISO. Please ensure you download the ISO in the same language as you use for the Windows UI, follow the steps, this is then not like re-installing Windows, it is just like an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected. AI answer 2026-05-21T09:37:04.81+00:00 Windows 11 Home is not end of life, but specific versions of Windows 11 Home do reach end of servicing. When that happens, they stop receiving security and quality updates, and Windows Update shows the message that the version has reached end of support. Windows 11 feature updates (21H2, 23H2, 25H2, etc.) each have a defined servicing timeline. For Windows 11 Home, each version is supported for 24 months from its release date. For example: Windows 11, version 21H2 (Home) reached end of servicing on October 10, 2023. Windows 11, version 23H2 (Home and Pro) reaches end of updates on November 11, 2025. Windows 11 itself continues with newer versions (such as version 25H2), so the upgrade path is to move from the out-of-support version of Windows 11 Home to the latest supported version of Windows 11. To stay supported on Windows: Use Windows Update to install the latest Windows 11 feature update offered for the device. New versions of Windows 11 are released once per year and receive monthly quality updates until their end-of-servicing date. If the device is still on an older or unsupported Windows version and not being offered a newer Windows 11 build through Windows Update, check that it meets the Windows 11 requirements . If compatible, it can be updated to the latest Windows 11 version to remain supported. If the device cannot run a supported Windows 11 version, the supported options are either installing Windows 10 (supported until October 14, 2025, if the device meets Windows 10 system requirements ) or moving to a new PC with Windows 11 preinstalled. Once updated to a currently supported Windows 11 version, monthly security and quality updates will resume until that version’s servicing end date, at which point another feature update will be required to stay supported.
