Schedule of Postseason Games Wild Card Series – Best of 3 series with the higher seed hosting all three games. American League Division Series (ALDS) – Best of 5 series played in a 2-2-1 format with the higher seed receiving home-field advantage. American League Championship Series (ALCS) – Best of 7 series played in a 2-3-2 format with the higher seed receiving home-field advantage. World Series – Best of 7 series played in a 2-3-2 format with home-field advantage going to the team with the best regular-season record, regardless of Postseason seeding within that team’s league.
